American Cemetery
Located right outside of Cambridge is an American Cemetery. (I am stealing some info from my friend Mary's blog to give you some details about this place.) I didn't go myself, but Jim and my Dad took a trip there last week and they said that it left them very quiet and sobered. This is the only WW II American cemetery in the British Isles.
On the the walls around this statue lists the names of 5,127 Americans who are missing, lost at sea, or whose remains were never identified.
3218 Americans are buried here.
