a fun Saturday

As I write this blog it is now dark, and I am watching fireworks out our back window. The neighbors, Wolfson College, are having a huge (surprise to us) fireworks display about 50 feet from our back door. Very convenient!

This was a very nice ending to a very nice day. Every night we ask our children their "high and low" (what was the best part of their day and what was their hardest, saddest, etc.) Tonight Claire had 12 highs, and no-one had any lows! A banner day . . . .

We started the day going to a park near us~and invited two girls from church (from Julia's class) to join us. Julia is the one child who has yet to make a good friend here in England, and she loved spending time with both these girls. One even invited her to her birthday party next week! We are all so thankful God is providing for Julia~

The park had two zip-lines and our children loved them. . . .

Making friends is a good thing. . . .

We rushed home so Claire and Julia could attend a birthday party for a little girl here at Tyndale House. (They did a fun scavenger hunt in downtown Cambridge.)

While Jim was back at the library studying, Andrew and Sarah and I had several little girls over for crafts; here is one of the final products: puppets. The children cut up princess wrapping paper and made puppets using sticks from the backyard. Aren't they great? It is true that we don't need much to have fun . . . .

Thanks for reading about our Saturday!
